In this paper, results from the study on determination of factors that affect the mixing quality and capacity of the mixing machine (vertical-axis type) for animal feed have been introduced. Data analysis shows that at 300 RPM rotating speed of the mixing axle with the loading capacity of 250 kg/batch, the power consumption is of minimum rate: 1.35 - 1.5 kWh per ton of processed product and giving an even mixing rate of 95%. The experimental results have significantly facilitated the calculation for determining a range of mixing machines that help meeting the practical production demand in rural areas on this type of machine.
