Project-based learning recently has been favoured by teachers with various adaptations throughout the world.  The purpose of this writing is to share our experience in developing language skills via a project called Faculty Voice.  Subjects of this research were second-year students of English.  In this news making project, students worked in groups as news editors to produce news.  All activities related in the learning process were required to cover all four skills.  The teacher acted as an instructor to give feedback and help when they faced problems with both the language itself and technical troubles.  Classroom environment and forty-five-minute lessons no longer existed.  Proper criteria and rubrics were also set up for assessment.  At the end of the term, changes were found in not only language competence, attitude but also in some important soft skills.  This project work proved to be a very authentic and practical task to students.
