The β-lactamn are class of compound with interesting biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal and cholesterol absorption inhibition. The β-lactams also serve as synthons for many biologically important classes of organic compounds. This article describes the synthesis of β-lactam from kenten, bearing phenoxy-group and imines, bearing phenyl-group. By mean of this synthesis, the compounds of cis-β-lactam were obtained in a good yield. The structure of products were elucidated by the NMR spectrocopy.These diastereoisomers of β-lactam were analyzed by HPLC method.
