Derivatives of benzo[2,3][1,4]oxazepine[7,6,5-de]quinolines were obtained by reaction of 3,5-di(tert-butyl)-1,2-benzoquinone with 5-amino-4-chlorosubstituted quinolines. Acid catalyzed reaction of substituted benzo[2,3][1,4]oxazepine[7,6,5-de]quinolines with 3,4,5,6-tetrachloro-1,2-benzoquinone leads to 2-[benzo[2,3][1,4]oxazepine[7,6,5-de]quinoline-2-yl]-1,3-tropolone derivatives. According to the MTT-calorimetric test 9,11-di(tert-butyl)-2,4-dimethyl-7H-benzo[2,3][1,4]oxazepine[7,6,5-de]quinoline shows anticancer activity and inhibits growth of Human epidermic carcinoma epithelial cells KB in concentration IC50 = 93.7µg/ml, whereas 2-[7-acethyl-9,11-di(tert-butyl)-4-methyl-5-chlorobenzo[2,3][1,4]oxazepine[7,6,5-de]quinoline-2-yl]-5,6,7-trichloro-1,3-tropolone inhibits growth of Human breast carcinoma cells MCF-7 in concentration IC50 = 12.96 µg/ml.
