The stability constants of the 1: 1 ( whenver possible) complexes formed between La³⁺, Ce³⁺, Pr³⁺ , Nd³⁺ and amino acid anion L- histidinate , ion acetyl acetonate were determined by potentiometric titration in aqueous solution   (30 ± 1⁰C, I= 0,1). The stability constants of the 1:1:1 , 1: 2: 1 complex formed between La³⁺, Ce³⁺, Pr³⁺ , Nd³⁺ and the anion L- histidinate together with the acetyl acetonate ion  were also  determined following the same experimental set up used in the study of the simple complexes. The mixed- ligand complexes turned out to be very much stronger than the simple ligand complexes.
