Nanocomposite coating was prepared using diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A type epoxy resin and different amounst (1,2,3,4,5%) of organoclay modified by dimethyldioctadecylammonium chloride (DMDOA). Dispersion of nanocomposite was investigated with a variety of methods including X-ray difraction, TGA, IR, and SEM analysis. The results showed that the clay platelets are well-exfoliated in matrix polymer and the properties of the coat were singnification improved by the present of nanosize clay particles.
