Seven new compounds of type 2-aryl-4-(5’-hydroxy-4’-methylcoumarin-6’-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepines have been synthesized from a,b-unsaturated ketones of 6-acetyl-5-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin by reaction of corresponding a,b-unsaturated ketones with o-phenylenediamine. The structure of synthesized compounds has been confirmed and biological activities of these compounds have been investigated.
